Knowing Your Value, with William Barrett

     In this episode of The Future of Dentistry, Anne Duffy is joined by William Barrett. William is the CEO, partner, and co-chair of the National Dental Law Group, and has over 20 years of experience representing a wide range of businesses.

     William discusses the current state of the dental market, as well as how it looked in 2022. He and Anne discuss common advantages of DSOs, and the importance of dental practices hiring lawyers that are experienced in dentistry. He explains his method of having clients do a self-assessment when they’re ready to sell their practice, so that they know what their business is truly worth. He also advises practice owners who plan on selling to start preparing as soon as possible for that transition, and details what that transaction may look like today.
