In this episode of the Just DeW It podcast, Anne Duffy is joined by William J. Moorhead, DMD. Dr. Moorhead is the founder of IV Sedation Training for Dentists, a company that teaches dentists safe and proven protocols in oral sedation, IV sedation, and the use of NuCalm/Nitrous Oxide.
Anne and Dr. Moorhead explains how and why he developed systems and strategies for treating high-fear patients. As a high-fear patient himself, Dr. Moorhead is uniquely situated to teach other dental professionals about the solution of IV sedation, which he does with his colleagues at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Moorhead explains his course on IV sedation, and discusses the in-office experience that his students get working on charity patients at Cornerstone Dental Seminars of Louisville, KY. He also shares a great story about getting to do dental work on George Clooney’s mom.
