“Awareness and Prevention” with Dr. Sharon Parsons

In this episode of the Future of Dentistry, Anne Duffy speaks with Dr. Sharon Parsons. Dr. Parsons is the owner of her practice, Dental Associates of Bexley, located in Columbus, OH. She is the president of the Ohio Dental Association, and is a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Parsons describes her history at her current dental practice, and she and Anne discuss balancing family life with work when their children were young. Dr. Parsons goes on to discuss how she achieved the Lucy Hobbs Award through her work educating prescribers about addiction.

Dr. Parsons explains changes that are happening in the dental and medical industries in order to prevent addiction and save the lives of patients. She shares information about her nonprofit “A Voice for Sean,” and the personal story that led her to start it.
